We bring joy and encouragement to local nursing homes through a short service of scripture, song, and fellowship. It’s a wonderful way to share God’s love and brighten someone’s day! Join Rev. Marlene for four Wednesdays beginning November 26, December 3, December 10, December 17 from Noon till 1:oo pm. Bring your lunch and come to the parlor as we eat lunch together, look at some Christmas Traditions and why we continue to do them and enjoy making a small craft.

Rev. Marlene will be having a Family Craft Night on Wednesday, November 19 from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm, enter backdoor basement. Come and enjoy making crafts, as we get ready to celebrate this wonderful time of year. There will be several crafts available, pick the one or ones you want to make until we run out of time or craft supplies. Please pre-register by Friday November 14 as there are a limited amount of supplies. If you are not crafty, please come, socialize and sign some Christmas Cards for our Christmas Cheer Boxes.

Congregational Chili Luncheon!

Stay after worship on Sunday, November 23 and enjoy a delicious meal in the Christie Room. It’s a wonderful time for food, fellowship, and supporting our Benevolent Fund, which helps those in need in our community.

This year, once again, we the people of First Baptist write our own devotional book, for the season of Advent. Sign up on the sheet in the Vestry, take a blank page, and put together a thought for the day, based upon the day's scripture or carol lyric. Add a prayer at the end. Jeff and Angela will work with a volunteer as editors. Your devotion could be a few thoughts, a story you tell, or take the form of a poem. Your page limit is about 200 words. The deadline is Sunday, November 16th. Turn your page into the office on paper, or email us at ambapt@ns.aliantzinc.ca We will publish the book on our website and on paper. Let's share again our hope in Christ during this special season.
