Christ, by highest heaven adored; Christ, the everlasting Lord;

Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the virgin’s womb:

Veiled in flesh the Godhead see; Hail th’incarnate Deity,

Pleased as us with us to dwell; Jesus our Emmanuel!
