It is becoming more important than ever to understand the difference between CBAC and CABF

Confused by the acronyms? You’re not alone! Even among the Board of Deacons, it can sometimes be unclear which organization we mean when we refer to “CBAC” and “CABF.” Following two motions passed at the August annual meeting of CBAC (more familiar to many of us simply as “Convention”), some important decisions are now before us. Jeff will be considering his options regarding his pastoral credentialing, and our congregation will also have an opportunity to discuss what these developments might mean for us. There is some history, tradition, and a few significant events and people to sort through—but we’ll do our best to make it clear, understandable, and engaging! Plan to stay for a light snack in the parlour after church on Sunday, October 18, and join us for an opportunity to become better informed about what is becoming an interesting and significant chapter in the life of First Baptist Amherst.
